Friends and family,

As you know, I believe education is one of the most powerful things on earth. An educated person has the means to change their life and improve their situation, and an educated society benefits our country and our world. This is one of the many reasons I happily serve in the education sector, and why I am so thrilled to work at Chapman University.

You may also know that it is my birthday coming up, and I always select a nonprofit organization for friends and family to support in lieu of gifts. Chapman University is always included, but this year I'm only giving friends and family one option. 

Chapman is currently fundraising for a Center for Science and Technology. While every discipline serves its place in society, it's clear that STEM fields are critical to our country's progress. Chapman's progress over the last 25 years has been amazing, and I can't wait to see what they do with the Center for Science and Technology!
